Hannah has learned to identify and say her first shape!!! I don't know if she is a little behind and should already know this, but we've been working a lot lately on identifying different shapes. Tonight she was looking at this
book and she pointed to the first page and said "circle, circle"!!! She traced the outline of the circle with her finger, too. She really enjoys this book because it is also a puzzle, with a different shape puzzle piece for each page.
This
puzzle is also a new favorite of Hannah's. She loves trying to catch the bugs with the magnetic net. She is also able to put the pieces back with very little guidance! Or maybe she has just memorized where each piece goes!

I think she's ahead. Circle seems like a hard word. I know we're still teaching shapes in kindergarten, so I'd say not even 2, pretty good.
Yay for Hannah! She is a smart little girl. I love the picture. It makes you want to sing that song "These boots are made for walking".
