She went through each page of The Very Busy Spider and ended with a great, big "THE END!"

The Very Busy Spider
The other night Hannah read her very first book to me! And by "read" I mean that she memorized what was on each page based on the pictures. It was so sweet! Before she started the story, she handed me her night-night and told me to hush. She positioned herself across from me and held the book with the pictures facing out so that I could see them (probably the way her teachers read to her class at school).

Precious!!! We have that book. I'm a big Eric Carle fan! Mckinley just read parts of Mother Bear, Mother Bear to me. All she said was, "Mother, Mother, what do you see?" But I was seriously impressed! I love how she read the book to you like a teacher! She's got the teacher gene.
